If you like to play HO games this is not for you. They fixed many of the problems with the first one as no directions. This is a thinking game that is fun to play. This is just as challenging as the first one. If you enjoyed the first one you will will like this one.
Toy Defense 1 has been my "go to" game ever since it first came out, so I was so excited yesterday when I saw TD2. Here are the differences that I've noticed between the two games & my review. -There are 2 levels of play to choose from: casual & hard -There are 3 different "worlds" each has 24 levels & each level has about 7 sub-levels within them: World 1: Stalingrad, World 2: Operation Crusader, World 3: Operation Overlord. Unlike TD1 you can start playing on any world without having to complete the previous world first. -Collections screen: Allows you to modify your battle team. It also has storage space so that you can begin your next battle with different towers. However, you can only use this screen before or after a battle, not once you have started a level. -You gain more stars for completing levels than in TD1, making it much easier to upgrade your towers. -Your progress is saved within each level, so you can restart the game from the exact spot where you left off. Instead of having to restart the entire level. -You can retract the buy towers display at the bottom of your screen, giving you more viewing room. -The towers seem stronger than in TD1, more destruction resistant & each shot seems to produce more damage (even before upgrading). -Each new level has a preview screen, which shows the map of the upcoming field & what type of enemies you will face. -Can only move 2 towers forward to advance as opposed to 3 in TD1. However, you can spend stars to buy the extra spots to advance more men. -There are no longer flamethrowers, however there are tons of new tower upgrades: --Rifleman: *Striking bullets, *Incendiary Ammunition, *Infantry Destroyer, *Barbed Wire, *Czech Hedgehogs, *Canister Shot --Interceptors: *Early Interception, *Death from Above, *Tail Machine Gun, *Air Detachment, *Bombing, *Carpet Bombing --Artillery: *SP Ammunition, Multi-Rocket Launcher, *Katyusha Rocker Launc
It takes a couple of minutes to figure everything out but when you do, get ready for some heart pumping action. This is by far one of the best TD games I have ever played. You will start out with a single soldier by placing him in the most strategic position to defeat the enemy and as you earn money you will add more soldiers, planes and tanks etc. At the end of the battle you can keep your best and most upgraded soldiers and planes or whatever you need for the next battle, if you want more slots you can buy the slots and it really gets difficult when you have a good upgrade and not enough money for another slot. You're gonna like this one!
Loved Toy Defense 1 (addicted to it). This has better graphics and easier to get weapon upgrades. Crashed a lot in fast mode on my old PC. Installing updated drivers...
Toy Defense was one of the best tower defense games I had ever played, and now it's got a rightly deserved sequel. It's pretty much the same game, but it feels a bit more smoothed out overall. There are varied maps and upgrades which offer enough diversity from the original to be worth it. The only thing that could make this game better is if it had a custom cursor. If you're a tower defense fan you will love this game. Highly recommended.
If you liked the 1st Toy Defense, then you'll absolutely love this. Graphics are really good. No Flame Thrower in this game, instead you get an airplane. Concept is still the same. Be careful though as this game is very addicting. Try the game for yourself, and decide. I bought immediately and wasn't disappointed!
Such a fun game, cute, not gory, sound affects are great, lots of ways to play depending on where you put soldier, planes, big guns. Different landscapes and levels and upgrades. I can see me spending hours playing and not getting bored!
"Toy Defense 2' goes even further than Toy 1 does. Starting by the delicious upbeat theme march, it is the kind of game one feels riveted to. It is rewarding to go from level to level and watch your trophies collection grow. I really recommend it for great fun and am already looking for 'Toy Defense 3'!
If you're used to playing free flash tower defense games online, you will be pleasantly surprised by Toy Defense 2. The graphics are much better than free games online. The challenge is great, plenty of upgrades, and more importantly you can save troops who get experience. This is a wonderful game, worthy of 5 stars here on Big Fish Games. Granted, there are hardly any instructions or tutorials, so if you are used to Hidden Object or Word Games this may be too advanced for you to figure out on your own. However, if you do you will be rewarded with hours and hours of enjoyment.
I've been a fan of Tower/Dense Games. This Game is fun and challenging. I highly recommend this game.
