It starts with a well written, interesting story that brings you in right away and gives you a quest--return the ancient artifacts of the gods to save the city. The v/o and music/sound are high quality and the graphics are pleasing and sharp. This is a combination of match 3, HOS, and scenes where you restore found objects to the scene, which makes it really interesting. The power ups carry over from board to board, giving you an additional opportunity to use strategy in your gameplay, and the boards get progressively harder as you go along. The levels are timed, but you get plenty of it. And once you've dropped the items down off the board the round is over, so you don't feel rushed. I got a real sense of progression and achievement as I went along, which makes me want to keep playing to get to the next level and restore the next artifact. The story is woven into the gameplay so you also learn about Greek gods and heroes while you play. I happen to like that, but you can also just click past it if you don't. This is a definite buy for me!
Love it. I bought this game after only 20 minutes of play. I should have known since it is a 'Play Rix' game that it would be good. You have to restore seven Greek gods to their glory by retrieving their ancient items. You do this by completing a series of match 3 games and then puzzling the final artifax together. Each god has a story about them and Hercules to follow along while playing their match 3 games. I thought the graphics could have been a little sharper but the story line was great. All around fun.
This beautiful peaceful game is a wonderful followup to Call of Atlantis, with the added benefit of a Relaxed Option. The graphics are beautiful. I love the special effects and the music too. But the standout benefit is truly the Relaxed Option which can even be changed in the middle of a level, without having to re-start it, Menu button at the top of the M-3 board>Options. I'm assuming this will be structured the same way as Call of Atlantis in that you can continue with multiple journeys under the same user name, thereby increasing difficulty. I love figuring out how to maneuver the parts of each artifact to the bottom of the screen. Luckily, there is always Menu>Restart once I realize I've gotten one of the pieces into a spot I can't get it out of. I admit I don't love the so-called Hidden Object mini's. They are fractured bits to find (love that ? for the ones I just can't spot) and also place the artifacts to restore the scene. But those mini's are a small part of this beautiful game. It's the M-3 boards that shine. Needless to say, it's a buy for me!
This match 3 game is very enjoyable to play, here's why; It has beautiful graphics, colors and artwork are beautiful, the music is soothing, relaxing, with a calming effect. It tells the story of long ago rulers and their kingdom and how it came to ruins. Your job is to restore and return ancient artifacts to the rulers by playing match 3 tiles. There are power ups to be gained as you progress in the game. This game is exactly the same as Call of Atlantis, but I think Atlantis has a little larger board and tiles. It too is beautiful like this game, wonderful music and sound effects in both these games. The boards start out fairly easy but as they progress they get more challenging, you will need your power ups, so try not to use them too early in the game, however, you can use the colored wheel as soon as you make enough matches to power it up. In between the match board there are 2 different puzzles to do, finding pieces of the artifact and putting them back together, and the next puzzle you will replace all the pieces you put together in the right places to complete the scene. I love this part cause when you replace, for example a torch into a holder, it lights up. Try not to put the pieces in the wrong place cause you will lose points, but if you do each one correctly, you gain more points. When you finish a level there is a screensaver that becomes available which includes sound effects, lovely. It is a very fun game, I think the only other match game I love as much is Rainbow Web 2, it always relaxes me to play that one (it has a "no timer" mode). These games are fine for all ages. Hope you enjoy these games as much as I do. :)
This is a match 3 game that follows the story of the ancient Greeks and their gods. The Greeks have forgotten their gods and when they no longer make sacrifices to the gods they abandon the people and it's up to you to find these ancient artifacts and restore them to Mt. Olympus and the gods! The match 3 is well done, but a little on the easy side because of all the tools and weapons to clear the board it doesn't seem too challenging but it's still fun. The object is to match 3 at the bottom of the board to allow pieces of the artifacts to fall off thus collecting the artifact. If you make a match 5 or more you will fill up an amulet a little at a time and when it is fully charged you click it to release the lightning that destroys several tiles, this feature starts new with each level. You will also release different tools such as extra time, lightning bolts and bombs to help clear the board and you can stockpile several of these to use when the levels get more challenging. Between levels there is a HOS where you first find several pieces of an artifact and then you have to replace the artifacts you find back into the scene in the correct place. Great entertainment, Enjoy!
Most Match 3 games bore me very quickly, but this version is really well done. The graphics are excellent, there's a nice mix of Match 3 with other puzzles, and the story line is excellent. This would actually be a great educational game for kids, as it teaches the basics of Greek mythology in a very entertaining way.
Great graphics, smart screensavers, overall I couldn't wait to buy it before the 60 minute trial, purchased it & love it..
My expectations for this game were high as I like match 3, HO and puzzle types and all are there. The visuals are colorful and clear if somewhat cartoonish and the music is appropriate. BUT...if you've played any of the Atlantis variants by Playrix and others you're gonna get a severe case of "been there, done that" as the gameplay, art and goals are extremely similar. If you enjoyed those games and want more, then this is for you. If you're looking for someting new, however, skip this altogether. I do recommend it however for its quality. So give it a try, just don't expect innovation here.
I loved the first game and this one is even better. I hope there is more to come.
finally a match 3 that you can turn the time off. Great story. Bought after just 30 min of play
