I found a couple of issues that you, as a game player, may want a heads up on: SKIP BUTTON: does NOT solve the puzzle; it only allows you to get out of the puzzle to which you HAVE to return and solve the puzzle so that you can move on so if you're not adept in resolving some of the puzzles (the first one, for me, is impossible as I just don't understand the concept of knowing how to figure out the sequence), you'll want to not take up anymore of your time and just refer to the walkthrough for the solution and HIDDEN OBJECT: there is one place wherein the object is so "hidden" that you practically cannot see it; it's located at the scene where you pick up the monkeys and it's either called beads or a necklace. You will find it JUST above the object listing and JUST to the left of a stone boulder that's on the ground; it's white as the sand that it's lying upon and OFF-SCREEN: I've got a widescreen monitor and oftimes there'll be objects that are NOT visible but so off to the side (particularly on the right-hand side) that you'll not even be able to see your cursor when you're clicking trying to find whatever object; I attempt to stay in the same general area that the hint button showed the spot This game was alright to play otherwise; it basically was relaxing and easy going.
I had to start this game over because I never got the hook delivered to my inventory when I found it. The game also crashed a couple of times, the sound would "catch" like a broken record, and the graphics were very hard to see on a laptop. The puzzles only had a "skip" button but not a "hint" button, which is what I really was looking for. The gameplay was a bit tedious after a while--the story didn't make sense until the very end and even then was pretty "meh" and the HOS games required a magnifiying glass sometimes . Lucky for me I got this for free or I would have been pretty disappointed. This game was obviously not play-tested very much before release.
A peculiar game to say the least. crash lands in a hot air ballon and escapes in a magically revamped derelict boat. Rather a short game which could have included more detail of repairing the boat. There seemed to be no point in the story - after crash landing all that followed was a continual search for irrelavant stuff. The graphics were clear and precise and there was not much dialogue to tie you down. The plot kinda lost me and I played it twice to ascertain what I had missed which wasn't much. The puzzles and mini games were quite good, some needed a bit more brain power than others but none were too difficult. The hidden objects were of two types, standard- which were average to find, some were challenging and small, and then there was the shape of hidden objects which were integrated in some scenes. These were straight forward. As a hidden object game quite good to average, as an adventure game - lacking, and overall just so so. I will recommend this game only because I like hidden object games.
Great fun filled game...very challenging and also unique from most hidden object games I play.
Mainly HOS, with some other well-known games... nothing new, nothing special. But the biggest problem is: in some HOS, certain objects are not actually hidden .... in fact they are ridiculously tiny! I almost touched my eyes on the monitor ! When the second chapter began, and I saw that would be the same boring thing .... I gave up !
Later on in the game, it goes from one HO scene to another over and over again. A lot of the objects are very dark on dark backgrounds, even with the help they are hard to find. Some of the puzzles however are quite challenging, so I am continuing to play through the HOs to get more of them, as that is what I like doing the most.
